    Sea Raven

    October 14, 2023 (Rain date 21st)

Members will travel to St. Clement’s Island near Leonardtown, Maryland for this day-long adventure. We will gather at 10 am to prepare the Sae Hrafn (Sea Raven) for our “voyage” and to hear a brief orientation on safety measures. The ship is an authentic reconstruction of a Viking-era vessel.

There will be a $10 fee for Drott Lodge members; $15 for non-members.  The maximum number of attendees is 40. Half will set sail in the first launch, with the others in a second sailing. A sign-up sheet and more information will be available at our September meeting.

Due to limited parking, we plan to carpool from points in Maryland and Virginia, details to be finalized closer to the date of the event.  Participants will bring a picnic lunch; activities such as leather crafts and/or a presentation from re-enactors are being planned, again, with final plans for these events made closer to the date of the trip.
